Le Mans car centre of disaster that killed 84 is set to sell for ?1m
During the Le Mans race the Austin Healey racing car driven by British racer Lance Macklin was clipped by a Mercedes, killing 84 spectators and injuring 120 fans. Macklin escaped without injury, but Mercedes driver was killed in the accident. The car after this incident was keep locked for 42 years in a garage is now being set to sell for 1m pound. Motor sport authorities are willing to pay huge amount for this car, even in its rustic condition, as it was a crucially historic worst crash in the motor sport history.
